UMT Services is part of Maritime Partner’s worldwide service network and provides annual certification according to Solas MSC 1206 & 402(96).
During the inspection, our trained personnel check the complete installation with emphasis on the safety equipment. All functions and every part of the FRC are tested.
When the inspection is done, customers will receive a certificate from UMT Services.
All of the certificates are controlled and issued by Maritime Partner. Certification outside our quality system will not have a certificate from Maritime Partner.
IMO MSC.1/Circ.1206 & 402(96) was drawn up in 2006 as a result of IMO’s work to reduce the high number of accidents in connection with life and rescue boat drills. This lead to a recommendation of annual and 5 year inspections of the equipment done by the maker or representative of the maker.
